FYI, Laurel is pronounced luh-REL.

When I’m working it’s usually as a UX designer and workshop facilitator. I currently do design as one half of Goodmaker and previously at startups and other design agencies delivering for clients including Google, Twitter (RIP), Art Institute of Chicago, Lonely Planet, St. Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital and more. I’ve also taught UX design at General Assembly and helped write the UX design curriculum at Springboard.

When I’m not working, I’m probably reading, climbing, trying to learn about local birds, or walking all the way to some place. I’ve also done a bunch of podcasting [ex. 1 and 2].

I’m queer 🏳️‍🌈, Indigenous ✌🏽, and gender expansive 🦩 — the combination of which serves as an increasingly interesting lens on *gestures at everything*.

If you’d like to get in touch, you can email [my first name] at [my last name] dot com. Or maybe we can be business friends on the business website.
